Course Description: Participants would gain a comprehensive in-depth knowledge and application on Global Airport Operations and Management, Airline Operations and Management, Global Aviation Safety and Security, Advanced Aviation Law, general Management Modules and Aviation Managerial Skills .

 Duration: One year duration in Two Semesters of six months each. A blended version of onsite and online sessions at Bangalore Campus.

 
 

SYLLABUS

Course Coverage would consist of General Modules and Aviation Specific Modules. Total 6 Papers + issertation (Research work) - Three papers in Each Semester.

Semester One:   Three Papers
                   Business Management (General Management Modules)
                   Advanced Airport Operations and Airport Business
                   Management
                   Global Aviation Safety and Aviation Security Management
                   First Semester Examination

Semester Two:
consisting of Three Papers                                     
                   Advanced Airline Operations and Airline Management
                   Applied Aviation Business Strategy (Aviation Business
                   Development)          
                   Advanced Aviation Law
                   Aviation Managerial Skills (Practical Applications)
                   Second Semester Examination           

                  Dissertation (Research work) + VIVA
Students would be required to undertake case study/Project Assignments in each Semester and submit such project assignments, followed by Semester Exams. Last Semester would include the Dissertation project and VIVA

 
  Course Outline:
 

First Semester                                       

  • Objective – To provide the knowledge of Operations and Management Techniques in the air transport Industry. An outer wall would be built by General Management Modules and within this, Aviation Specific Module-Air Transport-Airport Strategic Management would be developed as a core pillar. (Advanced Airport Operations and Business Management, Global Safety and Security). Project Assignments to help application of subject covered.

Second Semester

  • Objective: To understand the Advanced Airline Products and its Management.
    Applied Aviation Business strategy- Global challenges in aviation management
    Advanced Aviation Law (The way to do Aviation Business Management)
    (International/National Aviation Legal Regimes)

Dissertation Project

  • Objective-   Research Project
  • The Programme would conclude with a Research Project on a selected topic by each student and to be submitted during the Final examination, and VIVA
  • Practical Application of the acquired subject knowledge is facilitated through Syndicate Exercises and Case Study/Project Assignments.
